Ballet Was My First Love. ♥

Hey guys! Ballet is my passion. Currently, I'm a full scholar of Ballet Manila. They're training me to be a professional dancer by joining in some of their shows. I'm trying to balance both studies and ballet training, (at the same time earning money at a very young age -> hurray!) and it was such a challenge! It encouraged me more to work harder.

...

Here's my story.

Many people questioned me about ballet. "How old did you start?", "Where did you learn ballet at first?" or even "Why did you go dancing on the first place?"

I started taking ballet lessons at the age of five (but before that, when I was still a baby, my mom used to see me doing splits on the bed while taking my bottle of milk! It sort of 'relaxes' me.) in Carmona, with my baby ballet teacher Chippy Lontoc-Dioko. I had lots of fun and made friends - and kept me busy during the summer. We performed in CCP Mini Theater, that Teacher Chippy taught us how to smile and have stage-presence. Then I joined ballet classes in my school, HSS. I learned to do freestyle dance there. But after a while, I stopped dancing. Yes, for almost one year. And I gained weight, became more chubby, and got higher grades in Academics. (That was the only pro.)

My school sort of forced me to do a solo dance on the Graduation Day of the Pre-schoolers. So I did it. My mom and I just patterned the dance in this Barbie Nutcracker movie:

because I had no more ballet teachers that time. Then my mom realized I need to go back.

I met Teacher Jo in Calamba's RWDS through my friend. She was the best teacher I ever had. She molded me to be a greater ballet dancer.

...to be continued.
